No, you do not need to invest contribution points (CP) to connect the source/destination nodes to trade fishes.
This applies to trading via Imperial Fishing Delivery and Trade Manager.
You will need to connect the nodes for all other trading activites, such as crates or trade goods otherwise they will only be sold at 30% value.
